Inner Tide

Our philosophy

Slower, and more attentive.

Inner Tide is built on a small number of convictions about time, communication and care. They are stated plainly here, without promises about how any given session will feel.

01

Presence and embodied awareness

Most of us spend the day slightly ahead of ourselves. This work moves in the other direction: attention returns to the body, to breath, to sensation as it is rather than as it is imagined. Nothing dramatic is required for that to happen — mostly it asks for time and a setting that does not interrupt.

02

The value of an unhurried setting

Time is the material we work with. A session that is not being counted feels different from one that is, and the difference is not sentimental: when there is no rush, the nervous system settles, and the work can be slower and more precise as a result.

03

Individual communication

Every session begins in conversation. Preferences, expectations and practical details are established first, so that both people know the shape of what will follow. Questions are welcome at any point, before or during.

04

Mutual respect

The relationship in the room is between two adults, each of whom may pause, adjust or end a session. Respect here is practical rather than declarative: it looks like clear agreements, attentive listening and no assumptions.

05

Discretion

Privacy is part of the service. Conversations remain between the people who had them. Location details are shared only after an appointment is confirmed, and nothing about a client is published or discussed elsewhere.

06

Practitioner training

Practitioners are selected for temperament as much as for technique, and their training is listed on their own profile rather than summarised in general claims. Where a qualification has not yet been verified, it is not published.

07

Consistent professional standards

The way a session is arranged, held and closed does not vary with who is in the room. That consistency is what makes discretion and individual care possible rather than merely promised.

In practice

Nothing is assumed, nothing is hurried, and everything that happens has been discussed first.

If this way of working interests you, the next step is a conversation.
